The repository builds the content layer of the StoryTec framework. It contains both static and dynamic information.

  • Static information is created during the authoring phase. This includes all content elements – for instance game assets or standardized learning objects – and ICML files describing the structure of StoryTec applications as well as (formalised) story, player and learner models anda knowledge space.
  • Dynamic information is created during the run-time of applications. This includes any kind of logging information as well as a context database.

In addition to ICML files (providing rules and conditions for transitions among scenes), the context database is considered during run-time, in order to decide how a story/application continues during run-time. The latter is crucial for adaptation and personalization.
